Sweet and Sour Pork

  • 1 lb pork cubed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp to 2cornstarch
  • 2 in medium tomatoes cutpieces
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 14 oz pineapple tidbits
  • Sauce
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2/3 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 lb pork cubed

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • Sauce
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2/3 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
  1. Combine egg, soya sauce, and 1 to 2 tablespoons cornstarch. Blend well. Dip pork in egg mixture and then coat with bread crumbs. Fry meat. Cook thoroughly. Meat may be frozen when cooked and used at a later date. Drain fat.
  2. Add tomatoes, pineapple and optional (1 small green pepper, cut in bite size pieces) to meat. Cover and cook on medium heat 2 minutes. Add sauce and cook until thickened.
  3. For the sauce; combine the sugar with the cornstarch. Add ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and pineapple juice. Blend well.
