Shepherd’s Pie

  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 large onions finely chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup undiluted consommé
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes

  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 large onions finely chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup undiluted consommé
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
Instructions
  1. In frying pan, heat ¼ cup margarine. Add onions and soften. Stir in ground beef and brown it. Add salt, thyme, pepper and consommé. Pour into casserole. Top with mashed potatoes. Bake for 30 minutes at 350º.
