Hoisin Garlic Pork Ribs

  • 4 lbs side ribs sweet and sour spareribs
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tbsp dry sherry
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions
  1. Using a fork, gently lift and peel the membrane (silverskin) away from the backside or each strip of pork ribs and discard. Cut ribs into single rib or bite-sized pieces. Place in a large plastic bag or in a sealable container. Combine remaining ingredients except sesame seeds. Mix well and pour over ribs. Close bag or container and marinate in the refrigerator a minimum of 6 hours to a maximum of 24 hours.
  2. Drain ribs, reserving marinade. Place ribs in a shallow roasting pan, cover with foil and bake at 325º for 11/2 hours.
  3. Meanwhile, bring marinade to a boil. Uncover and brush ribs with the reserved marinade. Bake uncovered for 30 to 45 minutes or until dark golden. Sprinkle ribs with sesame seeds and serve hot.
